aaronson and rash, pllc
Houston Product Liability Attorneys Chad Aaronson and Ron Rash of the Law Offices of Aaronson and Rash, PLLC needed a new, updated, fresh look. The personal injury lawyers wanted a welcoming site that told more about the firm’s history, the attorneys and its cases. They wanted contact information to be easily accessible. Plus, the law firm also needed a logo design to help brand the firm. The logo needed to be simple yet memorable for prospective clients.
atgnat™ developed a website with a header to grab the attention of visitors. The classic scales of justice photo tells visitors immediately that the website is related to law. In addition, changing cases rotate on the right letting visitors know the type of cases this firm handles. We also moved away from the bright orange to a calming blue and grey color scheme. The attorneys wanted a “Texas” themed logo incorporating the famous Texas star. atgnat™ created a simple, yet unforgettable logo design that will stand out on client’s paperwork.
atgnat™ built the website to allow for easy and quick future modifications. When these Houston defective product attorneys take on new cases or close out a case, pages can quickly be added or removed. This allows for future updates to have minimal costs and a quick turn around time. When Aaronson and Rash decides to take a new case, atgnat™ can add a new page with all the content in less than a day.
In addition, each case page has a unique form on it. A prospective client simply fills out the form and clicks submit. Chad Aaronson or Ron Rash gets an immediate notification with the details including which case the client selected.
The entire website allows for more efficient use of a visitor’s time and of the attorney’s time.

international eye care
Houston’s International EyeCare Laser Center and Dr. Charles Moore needed a more professional image for its Houston Lasik center. The client wanted a website that had a spa feel with warm colors. The company logo also needed to be prominent. Most of all, the Texas Lasik website needed to separate International EyeCare Center from its Houston Lasik competitors. Lifestyle photos were used throughout the website’s main navigation structure. Lasik eye surgery can be life changing. These photos represent what can be possible with a simple laser eye procedure.
In addition, the new design incorporates a website video host. She introduces you to the company and peaks your interest. To keep visitors engaged, on a return visit, the website video host will say a different opening. In all, three different website video openings were used. On the fourth visit, the user will not see a video host. After 30 days or if the user clears his browser, the video host will re-appear.
The client provided all the content and videos. atgnat™ designed the look, produced the website video host openings, built the website and added all the content.
In addition to this website, atgnat also designed International EyeCare center’s Aggie Lasik site. This website compliments the Texas Lasik website but offers Aggie photos, testimonials and specials.
texas facial plastic surgery
Houston Plastic Surgeon Dr. Kent Davis personally welcomes patients to his site and tells them what makes him different than other plastic surgeons. He invites them to schedule a consultation and meet him in person. Dr. Davis also appears on three other pages of the site: surgical, non-surgical and photo gallery. On each page, he highlights a procedure and tells potential patients the benefits. His website video host segments are a great way to start a conversation with a patient prior to their office visit. All of his openings only appear on your initial visit. He’ll reappear in 30 days or if you clear your browsing history.
artistic floors
Artistic Floors Houston came to atgnat™ in search of a website design that would be better than any of its competitors. The client didn’t have a current website and was starting from scratch. The owner wanted a website that would dazzle the user but also be informational. He also wanted a website video host to give his site something no one else had.
After an initial meeting with the Artistic Floors, we learned about his many services and then found the best way to feature all of them on the newly designed website. He also wanted to highlight his work through his own before and after photos. In a remodeling business, actual pictures of the work were crucial. atgnat™ wanted to make sure these photos were large enough to be seen and showcase the detail. Unique graphic design elements give the photos even more dazzle.
The website video host was added to four pages. Although the host comes onto the screen, all functions of the website continue to operate. A user can still click on any button or link and be directed to that section. The website video host segments gave him an immediate attention grabber. Owner Esteban Duran said no other flooring company had this unique video feature.
A few months after the initial website launched, Artistic Floors needed video production. He wanted to add internet videos to his website. The pictures added a nice touch, but adding before and after video tours would give his website a new dimension. As of October 1, 2009, atgnat has produced three different internet videos.
EVERY SURFACE
The first video featured a before / after tour of a 1930s Houston home. Artistic Floors wanted to show its depth of services. atgnat shot, wrote and edited the entire piece.
FOUNDATION REPAIR
Artistic Floors also provides foundation repair. The owner, Esteban Duran, wanted to showcase how he can transform a floor that has been pulled up for foundation repair into a floor with no visible scars or markings. The floors look new. Artistic Floors has shown this video to prospective clients and had them sign up immediately.
TRAVERTINE & HARDWOOD FLOORS
In this video, we featured what Artistic Floors could do with dull and dirty travertine floors. The transformation is amazing. In order to cut back video production costs, this time we used before photos and mixed it with the after video. The internet video is still effective. Viewers can really see the transformation and see the skills of Artistic Floors.
texas ear center
The Texas Ear Center is a specialty division of Texas Ear, Nose & Throat Specialists. Dr. Joseph Chang is the director of the center. Keeping with the same style and branding of the main Texas ENT website, the same video host appears on the Texas Ear Center site and welcomes visitors. After she is finished speaking, a video about the center plays. She also appears on the About Dr. Change page of his website.
north cypress medical center
North Cypress Medical Center’s Chief Operating Office contacted atgnat about updating its current website. The center wanted to add a video host and a virtual tour of the hospital and facilities for prospective patients and employees. The tour included 13 individual areas to be featured and takes viewers through the entire center.
By adding a video tour instead of a typical photo or 360 degree pan, viewers feel like they are inside the center. The facility comes to life and the viewers will get a feel for what makes NCMC different than a regular hospital. Atgnat wrote, produced, shot and edited the entire piece.
The client was already working with a different web design company. So, atgnat delivered the product to the firm electronically and worked with its staff to ensure the video and player was correctly placed on the website. As you can see from the site, each one of the 14 video segments was made to stand alone.
In addition, atgnat shot a video host on a chroma key screen in atgnat’s studio. Atgnat then delivered the segments to the client. The host appears like she is part of the site instead of in a video box. Plus, NCMC wanted to make sure the greeting was fresh. When a visitor returns to the website, a second greeting is given. When he returns a third time, the host says something new. By using this technology, the visitor really feels like he is interacting with the website.
Atgnat hosts the website. NCMC averages more than 4600 unique visitors a month and puts out more than 38 GB of bandwidth a month.
texas ear, nose & throat specialists
When we were designing Texas ENT Specialists website, we wanted to do something that none of the other ENT practices did. A website video host welcoming visitors would grab a patient’s attention. The host talks a bit about the practice and points out key features of the website. After she leaves the website, a video players drops down and tells the Texas ENT Specialists story. Once it is finished, the photo slideshow begins. atgnat™ built all of flash element into one piece. The website video host also appears on other key pages throughout the site. Check out how this Houston ENT practice is setting high standards. If you don’t see the host, you’ve probably been to the site in the past 30 days. Texas ENT Specialists wanted to make sure the same host message didn’t appear every time you visited the website. We built the element to meet these needs.
houston's 55
KTBU, Houston’s Channel 55, needed a show opening for its weekly program Thursday Night High School Game of the Week. KTBU approached atgnat about creating an opening that featured game highlights and encompassed all aspects of a football game.
The show opening needed to reflect the level of athletes and compliment the show’s current graphical elements like its lower-thirds. KTBU didn’t want an opening that looked like Monday Night Football or even College Game Day. Instead, it wanted something that reflected high school sports.
The opening was created using video highlights, graphics and animations.
linda lorelle live
This is a design sample Atgnat created for former TV journalist Linda Lorelle. The business is to have Lorelle giving personal tours of properties for sale. Atgnat first designed a catchy logo that would incorporate the property and the “live” feature. It was important to the client to use the teal and burgundy colors for branding. The client then shot test segments in our studio on a chroma key screen.
Atgnat then placed Lorelle in front of her own logo allowing her to greet potential buyers and sellers as they visited the site. In addition, atgnat created a flipbook of all properties. The book was a creative way to feature all the videos without having one long page of video boxes. As you flip the book, the video begins to play.
exit 6 star realty
Exit 6 Star approached atgnat because the owners were impressed with our video services, and they wanted to have a “wow” factor when visitors clicked on their site. Although they previously launched their website, atgnat was able to incorporate the video into the feel of the already established site.
Some videos appear directly on the site's pages while other pages have video boxes on them to help display the videos. The reason for this is because the pages were already established before working with atgnat.
In addition to the host openings, atgnat also produced video tours of the company’s headquarters, a builder’s showcase home and an individual’s home that was for sale. Atgnat shot and edited these pieces. All the videos were hosted by atgnat. The website was hosted by another company contracted with Exit 6 star.
Exit 6 Star is a great example of how atgnat can work with your design company to enhance your site by adding video.
Below is a sample of an Exit 6 Star Video Home Tour.
the honky tonk heroes - honkumentary
The Honky Tonk Heroes is a Houston band that writes and sings classic country. In early 2008, the band was releasing a new CD titled "Paybacks Are Hell", and to promote the release, the group appeared on local TV show Great Day Houston. We wanted to follow the band members and see what life was like for a small-town band trying to make it in the big city. The short documentary, or as we call it, a honkumentary, takes a peak into their world. We watched them unload their own gear, do sound checks and perform live on TV. Atgnat was restricted to only shooting the practices, and therefore, we ended this piece with the actual broadcast footage of the show.
In order for this style of video to work, we let the camera roll the entire time. As you’ll see, the characters in the band make the piece come to life.
texas ear, nose & throat specialists
Texas Ear, Nose and Throat Specialists wanted to produce a DVD that would be informative to its patients, prospective employees and even its current staff. With 25 doctors, 14 locations and 3 branches, the practice is large. The administration wanted to have a clear message about everything the company does. By producing a video, viewers could learn that basic ENT care was just one facet of the company. In fact, the plastic surgery, audiology and neurotology divisions are a large portion of the practice.
Atgnat met with the client and broke the video down into seven chapters. Texas ENT Specialists wanted to brand itself to explain who it is, what it does and what its core ideology is. Plus, it wanted to include as many of its doctors as possible. The shoot consisted of 11 doctor interviews, two patient interviews and b-roll footage of doctors interacting with patients.. The taping was done over two days. Atgnat then wrote and voiced all the scripts, created all the graphics, edited the pieces and put it to DVD.
In addition, atgnat produced 1,000 DVDs with full color mailer sleeves. All of the videos were also encoded and converted to flash to be viewed on the client’s website.
Texas ENT Specialists sends the DVD to other doctors for referrals, uses it to recruit new doctors and plays the DVD once a day in its lobbies.
harris country sheriff's office
Atgnat won a bid to produce a recruitment video for the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. The video’s goal was to attract the best recruits from around the county, city, state and country. In order to compete with other agencies, the video had to be exciting, thrilling and moving. When a viewer watched it, we wanted them to walk away saying, “Wow, what a cool career! I want to work for the HCSO.”
In order to accomplish this, Atgnat needed to get compelling sound bites, create sensational graphics, add original music and creatively edited the story into a quickly paced piece. In all, 15 segments were produced.
The employees were interviewed on a black screen. During post-production, they were then put in front of a rotating, 3-D badge. The dark look gives the piece an edgy appearance. The supporting or b-roll footage was shot over the several months. Atgnat’s crew was on stand-by and called away with just a moment’s notice to get to crime scenes or busts.
When the project was finished, the DVD was more than 52 minutes long.
In order to reach a bigger audience, the HCSO Jobs website was created. This full-flash website showcased all sections of the DVD. It had a direct link for prospective employees to apply for a job. Each month, the site averages more than 7,100 unique visitors a month. HCSO reports for the first time its recruitment is steady instead of up and down waves it’s typically seen.
outfit outlet / just in
A local advertising firm, Furber Advertising, contacted atgnat’s video production team about shooting commercials for two local clothing stores that were owned by the same parent company. Furber’s client wanted to feature as many outfits from the stores as possible. The owner was on a limited budget and needed the commercials turned around quickly.
Furber and the store owner provided the models for the shoot. Each store featured three different models. Using an HD video camera, atgnat shot the models in front of the green chroma key screen in atgnat’s studio. The chief of photography directed the models in their moves to ensure we were getting the footage we needed to showcase the clothing line. The models also changed into multiple outfits. Atgnat then created the virtual backgrounds, added music and edited the spots together.
The spots aired on KIAH-TV WB 39 , KTXH-TV My 20 and KRIV- TV FOX 26.
evolution of fitness - houston
When you’re opening a new business that will compete against national chains, you’ve got to set yourself apart from the large competitors. Evolution of Fitness was opening a new revolutionary work-out facility called EVO. Atgnat was hired to help the company promote the facility on the internet and in print media.
We produced a video to play on the EVO website that featured original graphics, animations and digital photo elements. Instead of interviewing the owners in front of a sweaty gym, we shot them on a chroma key screen allowing us to change their background to fit the topic. We focused on why EVO was different than those other “meat market” gyms. We wanted prospective clients to know this was a personalized fitness plan and gym to help you reach your fitness and health goals.
In addition to producing the video, we also created print pieces and bought the ad space in prominent fitness magazines in Houston.
lifechurch fort bend
Life Church Fort Bend wanted to attract more parishioners. Atgnat was hired to produce a :30 second commercial. The commercial consisted of atgnat interviewing the pastor, parishioners, and band members to help the viewer get an overall look at what a great community gathers at Life Church Fort Bend.
Atgnat wrote, shot and post-produced the piece. In addition, atgnat placed the media buy. To better target the right audience, atgnat bought commercial spots in Comcast Cable’s Fort Bend County channels instead of the entire Houston area. This saved the church money and ensured the right target market was reached.
After the commercial was finished, atgnat used the same footage to produce a promotional video that could air on the church’s website. The piece was used on the church’s homepage for more than a year.
Atgnat worked with the church’s website team to ensure the proper video and controller placement.
dr jeff berger
California dentist Jeff Berger wanted to attract more patients and have them learn more about him and his practice before even stepping foot into his office. He hired atgnat to produce a DVD and internet videos. Atgnat flew to California for the video production. We interviewed Dr. Berger, his patients and staff. We wrote the scripts, created the graphics and edited the pieces. The DVDs were created with a full-color mailer sleeve that allowed Dr. Berger to drop a DVD directly in the mail.
In addition, the DVD chapters were converted to flash and made available to his website design team. By putting the videos on both DVDs and the internet, Dr. Berger is able to reach more potential clients and increase his marketing share.
shelter from the storm
On the first anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, we completed the documentary short ''Shelter from the Storm.'' This documentary chronicles the amazing hurricane shelter operation in Houston, Texas, that was established in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. We tell the story of how Harris County Judge Robert Eckels and his team operated the largest shelter operation in U.S. history. Atgnat used footage provided by Judge Eckels from the week of the hurricane. In addition, atgnat shot all the interviews, wrote the documentary and post-produced it.
mymedispa.com
Dr. Henry Mentz saw a dramatic return on his investment from the plastic surgery DVD produced by atgnat. He wanted to take the same approach for his non-surgical practice. He hired atgnat to produce and shoot six video segments for his MediSpa. Atgnat delivered the videos electronically to his website design firm. All the videos were placed on Dr. Mentz’s MediSpa website.
dr. henry mentz
Dr. Henry Mentz is one the founding surgeons for the Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery. Dr. Mentz has been known as a leader in the industry for plastic surgery. He wanted to make sure his marketing reflected this too.
Atgnat produced a promotional DVD that featured all aspects of Dr. Mentz’s practice. Atgnat interviewed Dr. Mentz, his patients and his staff. We shot office and surgical footage. To really tell his story, we used many before and after pictures. We had Dr. Mentz explain what he did with each patient. When viewers watch the DVD, they can truly see the magic that Dr. Mentz can do. Whether it was breast procedures, body contouring, ab or pec sketching, facial procedures or his non-surgical treatments, viewers could learn about the process and the results. They could decide what procedures they wanted before they even met with Dr. Mentz and his team.
In addition, we made all of the chapters available on several of his websites. Dr. Mentz could attract new patients through both the web and his hand-out DVD. He encouraged his patients to take the DVDs and pass them out to their friends. Dr. Mentz said the videos were the best investment he’s made. “The video vignettes on the website have given us a five-fold increase in our traffic and in our contact numbers. That validates the price of the video in about two weeks.” Our videos have a proven great ROI.
dr. german newall
Dr. German Newall is a Houston plastic surgeon and one of the founding partners of the Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery. He wanted to increase his patients and cut back on his office time to allow more time for surgery. Atgnat produced a DVD and internet video vignettes for him to showcase his work.
The goals of the videos were to educate patients about Dr. Newall, explain his expertise in several plastic surgery procedures and showcase his work through before and after photos. The DVD was broken down into several chapters including body contouring, breast procedures, liposuction, Brazilian butt lifts, facelifts and more. Before even meeting Dr. Newall, patients could have questions answered and decide which procedure interested them. The DVDs were packaged in a full-color mailer sleeve that allowed Dr. Newall’s staff to simply add postage to the DVD and put in the mail. No extra packaging was required.
Dr. Newall noticed an immediate impact on his business. “It makes my clinic run smoothly because they are already educated on the many things that I do. Secondly, I think it makes my sign up rate much faster and easier, probably an increase of about 25% to 30%.”
dr. christopher patronella
Dr. Christopher Patronella is a prominent Houston plastic surgeon and a founding partner of the Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery. With many plastic surgeons to choose from in the area, Dr. Patronella wanted to separate himself from his competitors. He asked atgnat to help him by producing video vignettes that could be combined in a DVD or stand alone on his website.
Atgnat suggested interviewing his patients. Their testimonials with their before and after pictures could truly showcase Dr. Patronella’s work. The video vignettes also had to reflect Dr. Patronella as a surgeon and a caring doctor. We wanted patients to get to know Dr. Patronella before even stepping into his office.
Our video production team interviewed his patients, his staff and shot footage of both his office and him in surgery. During post-production, we were able to display his before and after photos effectively.
His videos were delivered in a fully produced DVD and through internet videos. We worked with Dr. Patronella’s website design firm to ensure the videos were properly placed on his website.
pizza fino
Pizza Fino is a local Houston pizza and pasta restaurant with six locations. The owner needed a new website to showcase his locations and his menu. He was on a tight budget and needed something classy, simple and small.
dinochicken.com
The Dinochicken website is a basic web design that atgnat™ developed for a child’s school project. The student loved dinosaurs. He was interested in paleontologist Jack Horner’s dinochicken project. Horner wants to reverse evolution by creating a dinosaur from a chicken egg, otherwise known as a dinochicken.
The student wanted this website to create an interest in science and dinosaurs for other kids. The website design was simple and incorporates student artwork. Children can even submit their own artwork through the website. Plus, the student wanted the website to display banner advertisements to make a little money on the side. He’s already an entrepreneur in 4th grade. Watch out Houston!
stunt wallet music
Atgnat designed this clever site for the record label, Stunt Wallet Music. Atgnat created the graphics and animations. The owner of the company wanted a site that was unusual and made fun of the fact that he had spent a lot of money and hasn’t seen a return on his investment. After the initial flash animation happens, users are directed to the main site which features the band the company represents. The home page also gives users an option of skipping the opening segment and going straight to the main part of the website.
internet predators book
Local 2 KPRC-TV investigative reporter Stephen Dean published a book about his extensive research into internet child predators. To help publicize and sell his book, atgnat created this website for him more than two years ago. The video segments are taken from actual stories Dean reported. The website was one of our first websites with video.
